We had a wonderful walk in Emmetts Garden, collecting sweet chestnuts, conkers, and pine cones. We spend 2 hours walking around the grounds. There was a lovely little cafe and toliets right next to the play area. Another lovely national trust.

We went for the fungi festival! Beautiful gardens I would love to go back in spring or take my dog next time to do some more exploring. Views are stunning. I was a National trust member for 5 years but had to stop as I became a student and couldn’t afford it, even when I was a member I had never been to emmets garden and I regret it now. The festival was fun we went on a Sunday, there was a struggle to park as it is only a little car park with no over flow. Around 14 stalls, plus a pizza van and coffee stall.

Beautiful park. Really lovely. And I came here at the beginning of autumn...I wonder how marvellous it can be in spring and summer. There are several smaller gardens inside with specific trees, bushes, plants and flowers. Each one has its own peculiarities and each one is superb. Then you walk through ponds and pergolas with roses and other plants running above you. It's truly epic. There's an area with tables and an old stable where you can buy some food. Nearby is the playground for kids with a lot of nice features for them. And a bit further it starts the forest. Be careful because there were a lot of bees around the tables, likely attracted from the food flavours. Someone left a glass jar of jam on a table and it was like a fest for them. But it was very nice, with lots of families with children and dogs. We walked through the forest and it was real. I hoped to see even some animal but other than some hawk flying above and some insects, I couldn't find anything else. I'm really looking forward to coming back again here in April. The Bluebell fields must be amazing!

We thought we would do a drive to somewhere different and we were very pleasantly surprised. Lovely grounds and a wonderful walk, the staff were very friendly and helpful. For a nice quiet day out with some amazing views id recommend

Gardens and extended estate in Kent. Designed by banker Frederic Lubbock in the last years of the 19th. century. There is a north and south garden plus a rockery garden but further afield there are some lovely woodland walks. You can see the house but it's a private property with no public access. There is also a meadow field walk and you can continue onto walks that go beyond the park with marked routes. This is a hillside location and some if the gradients are quite steep within the woods. There is a tea room to get a refreshing drink or a bite to eat and there are toilets in sure too. The garden is dog friendly with a requirement to keep your four legged friend on a lead in the garden areas. There is a modest entrance fee but if you are a member of the National Trust entry and parking is free. Wheelchair users would be able to access some areas .

I was pleasantly surprised - not the type of place I’d normally look to spend a day out but pleased I did. The staff were fantastic, the gardens well maintained and detailed, lots to do for dog walkers and families with kids - pizza vans/ice creams etc or bring your own picnic. I would most certainly recommend it to you and I’ll be scouting for the next National Trust park to go to.

Beautiful shrubs and flowers, great woodland walks with incredible views. The bluebells are out in late spring and well worth a look. Cafe is a must visit after a walk. Fantastic National Trust visit.
